First, the long rod hot shear causes the air residue


The shear plane formed by the thermal shear of the rod is never perfect and vertical. The simple thermal shearing of industrial aluminum profiles will result in severe bending of the rods, resulting in an elliptic cross section and a very large rounded corner at the end of the aluminum profiles being sheared. Solution: conduct standard inspection on aluminum bars, and resolutely eliminate unqualified aluminum bars.


Second, upsetting causes a residue of air


The upset caused a residue of air. Only if the diameter of the cylinder containing the aluminum ingots is larger than the diameter of the bar, the bar can be put into the cylinder containing the aluminum ingots. The gas must be vented when pressure is applied to the rod inside the aluminum cylinder causing the rod to expand to the diameter of the cylinder. The gas is not vented, and remaining in the aluminum ingot becomes a bubble after zui.


Solution: according to the small zui value of the inner lining of the extrusion cylinder, configure the extrusion gasket, change the extrusion cylinder regularly, check the corrosion and wash of the extrusion cylinder and the extrusion pad, measure the extrusion cylinder, and configure the appropriate extrusion gasket according to the inner and outer diameter of the extrusion pad; Clean the extrusion tube once per shift with cleaning gasket, and etch and wash the extrusion tube regularly.


Three, two aluminum rod contact lead to residual air


Air residue is caused by the connection of two aluminum rods. Because the surface of the two studs is essentially flat, the probability of carrying air in is very small. The quality of the sawing directly interferes with the amount of air carried between the two studs. At present, a new high technology is available to prevent the connection of two short rods and eliminate the possibility of air entry.


Solution: determine the reasonable rod length of aluminum rod according to the process parameters of profile single weight, discharge count and so on.




Iv. Residual air caused by extruded aluminum profiles


When extruding aluminum profiles, air must be avoided to avoid the presence of residual air, resulting in various defects in the post-processing.


1. Product bubbles caused by improper oil application.


Solution: apply oil correctly and use less oil. Strengthen the training of the operation technology of the staff before the post;


2. The pressure residual is too thin, which causes the metal in the shunt hole to be pulled out during shearing, leaving a gap in the shunt hole of the mold.


Solution: according to the tonnage of the extruder, set aside a reasonable residual thickness, according to the single weight of the profile, the number of discharge process parameters to determine a reasonable length of aluminum rod;


3. Design the flat die welding chamber for the extrusion die, and the diverging die's diverging hole is too large, resulting in the bubble flowing into the cavity.


Solution: reduce the size of flat die welding chamber, and reduce the split die hole, more than 5MM from the single side of the extrusion tube.


4. Extrusion mold design cases


For example, in the mold design of electric motor housing, during the aluminum profile production of motor housing, there are often bubbles and other phenomena in the product due to the mold.
