Industrial aluminum processing methods

The machining process of industrial aluminum alloy profiles mainly includes forming and surface machining.
1. Forming process
There are two methods for aluminum alloy forming: extrusion and rolling.
Extrusion is a common zui forming method for industrial aluminum profiles. First, aluminum profiles die is made according to the profile section. The round cast bar heated to the critical point is extruded from the die by an extruder. For example, in the process of extrusion of 6063 aluminum alloy, there is also an air-cooled quenching process and its subsequent manual aging treatment to complete the heat treatment of aluminum profiles. Different aluminum alloys have different heat treatment methods.
Rolling is used for medium and small size bars and profiles with simple section shapes where large quantities are required and where requirements for size and surface quality are not high.
2. Surface treatment
The surface processing method of industrial aluminum profiles is generally anodized surface treatment, but some of them need spraying, electrophoresis and other treatment methods.
Surface anodic oxidation treatment is to use the principle of electrolysis, so that the surface of industrial aluminum forming a thicker and denser oxide film, thus increasing the corrosion resistance of aluminum alloy materials. After that, it is necessary to seal the holes of industrial aluminum profiles.
